Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller that is light durable, sturdy and provides excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's easy to transport and freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines to a near-flat position and there's a giant storage bin and canopy. Baby suitability: Yes and with a separate carrycot (not suitable for overnight sleeping).

A good suspension and air-filled tires can help you navigate through rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This lightweight pushchair from Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will appreciate. It comes as an all-in-one travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot suitable for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of a group 0+ car seats, so you can get everything you need in one place.

The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle and it's easy to see why it has received so many high marks from customers. It's incredibly light - both the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg and it's easy to construct. I was able get it up and running in under five minutes - which is remarkable considering it also includes attaching fabric for the carrycot.

It has a nice wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very simple to use. There's a good amount of space inside the basket, and I love the fact that it has a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so you can keep your phone and keys secure!

The only downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which could be a problem for taller parents. It's covered with a soft, comfortable leather-like material, which is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who like to explore and are always on the move. The large pneumatic wheels can be utilized on field and forest paths. The front wheel is lockable and can be swiveled to allow for greater versatility. The stroller also comes with five-point safety harnesses with a front bar that keeps your child safe on all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller on its feet while you take a rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay down and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30 cm to accommodate mum or dad's heights.

No matter if you're taking short jogs or a long hike, the Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded in order to fit into car boot spaces or storage spaces.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking mechanism is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on either side of the push bar). The handlebar is a little higher than some competitors', so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me moving

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which prides itself on making well-designed and no-fuss parenting essentials. It's their newest and most expensive addition to their stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat-compatible, so you can use from birth.

The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including a rose-gold shade on the hood, chassis and stroller trims that really set it apart. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are super elegant and there is an option to add a co-ordinating leather cover handle and bumper bar, too.

The stroller seat can be used from birth to 22kg.  3 wheel buggy  can easily be converted into a 2-in-1 reversible position, either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat features multiple lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with hidden zip sections, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.

When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also simple to fold, thanks to two buttons on either side of the handlebar that you can click into and then pop out.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Created to be the ultimate all-terrain pushchair Bugaboo's latest Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rough pavements, grassy wooded walks and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are big with a diameter of 22cm and 30cm which means they can handle all kinds of terrain. They also come with a handy flap that can open or closes to let more air to circulate should you need it this is a nice addition. It's slightly larger than some pushchairs but does not feel heavy or bulky when you push it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric for the seat can be washed by machine and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable in the urban streets. One of the advantages is that it incorporates accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a snack tray. The hood can be used to block rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. It's a single stroller, but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra leg room. It took about 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're looking forward to a morning jog in the cool air or a moonlit stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a fun-filled adventure. This all-terrain jogging stroller has been designed to perform to keep your child and you active.

The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires provide an easy ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension is patented, allowing you to glide across woodland paths with minimal impact on your child's legs and rear. The handbrake that is designed for performance allows you to stop quickly even while jogging down the downhill slope.

From bustling market stalls to street musicians performing a tune, the Ridge is able to navigate your city's most popular scenes with ease. The large basket is able to hold all your essentials and market purchases, while the massive canopy provides protection from wind and sun. The large front canopy opens to reveal two mesh windows that make it simple to keep an eye on your child's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seats allows you to choose whether your child faces you, or the world in front. Its simple foot brake system makes it intuitive for parents who are just starting out. One of the best features is the reversible handlebar that allows you to adjust it to your height and preference. And unlike some jogging strollers the Ridge folds solid and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair is packed with features that will really impress parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and an LED Visibility Hub light, which is the first of its kind in the market. It features a built-in Ride-on Board which helps save on future costs, and allows tired toddlers to join the family on outings.

The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with the most popular car seats, including the ones from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, meaning it can last through your baby's initial years and beyond. It's a gorgeously designed pushchair, and it has premium knitted fabrics. The child's adjustable bumper bar as well as the parent's adjustable handlebar are made of soft leatherette. The calf support folds away is also very comfortable for children.

It was quite impressive how quickly it folded and collapsed even with the seat unit still attached. It can easily fit in your car or hallway which makes it perfect for travel. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, such as the matching changing rucksack, or footmuff/liner.
